What is a 29er? Basically.

Basically a 29er is a mountain bike (usually) built to use 700c or ISO 622 mm wheels. Twenty nine inch wheels absorb bumps and obstacles better, providing a smoother ride with better stability. 29er's also cover more ground with the same energy due to having a larger diameter than a standard 26" wheel. Road bikes also use 700c
wheels.
